In November 2014, members of GABRIELA New York participated in a Women’s International Solidarity Mission in Tacloban, Philippines during the anniversary of Typhoon Haiyan, followed by an exposure trip to Mindanao to integrate with indigenous communities affected by large-scale mining and militarization. They met and lived with many teachers of community organizing and movement building, including fisherfolk, peasant farmers, mining workers, indigenous youth and tribal leaders.
GABRIELA New York invites you to join us as our exposurists recount these Lessons from the Motherland.
