Bring your family, your friends, and loved ones to GABRIELA New York’s Pinay HERstories: Migration to Liberation, an afternoon filled with live music, video, poetry, and community dialogue. Pinay HERstories reclaims the Filipina narrative by collecting fragments of shared experiences. These stories show the resilience of Filipino migrant women and the power of community in our lives. Monique Wilson from GABRIELA Philippines and One Billion Rising Revolution will be our special guest.
This event is also part of Philippine Solidarity Week, week of activities beginning on February 4th to commemorate the Philippine-American War and to raise and awareness sand support for the continuing struggle of the Filipino people for national liberation.
