Over thirteen million people were impacted by the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan.
It has been over seven months since the Philippines was hit by one of the strongest typhoons ever, Haiyan. Since its devastating blow, the Philippines has struggled to rebuild and recover despite efforts from many grassroot organizations and non-governmental agencies. Now more than ever, the Filipino people need your help and solidarity!
The need for sustainable rehabilitation and rebuilding will have to continue for many years to come.
Over thirteen million people were impacted by the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan. Devastation goes beyond the impact of Haiyan, the people of the Philippines have been victimized by the criminal neglect of the Philippine government and large corporations, who continue to extract resources from the Philippine lands. The need for sustainable rehabilitation and rebuilding will have to continue for many years to come and we know that the people’s perseverance, in conjunction with the genuine solidarity of all allies, will ensure the country’s preparedness and successful building of infrastructure for future disasters, both natural and man-made.
